To use this application, you will need the original Heroes 3: SoD/Complete game files. Please note that these files are not provided and it is recommended that you purchase them from GOG.com. Please note that Heroes 3 "HD Edition" files are not supported.

VCMI is an open-source engine that aims to rewrite the entirety of Heroes of Might and Magic 3 (optionally with WoG) from scratch, offering new and extended possibilities. In essence, it is a remake of Heroes 3.

Keep in mind that VCMI is still in development, so expect crashes and bugs. However, it appears to run much smoother than the previous port available.
